Attribute Groups

Attribute Groups are named, ordered containers that organize your product attributes in the product editor. Grouping related attributes — for example “Dimensions”, “Materials”, or “Technical specs” — makes the product edit screen easier to scan and complete.

An attribute group belongs to your organization, has a unique code, and holds an ordered list of member attributes.

How to add and reorder attributes in a group

Section titled “How to add and reorder attributes in a group”

On a group’s edit page, the “Attributes in this group” area lets you build and order the group by drag-and-drop. Two panels sit side by side: a list of available attributes and the group’s member list.

  1. Open Attributes → Attribute Groups and edit a group (or create one first).
  2. Add an attribute to the group by dragging it into the member list, or use the + control on an available attribute.
  3. Remove an attribute with the × control on a member.
  4. Reorder members by dragging them up or down in the member list.
  5. Click Save to persist your changes — additions, removals, and the new order are applied together.

Attribute groups are an admin-side organization tool for the product editor only. They control how attributes are grouped and ordered when you view or edit a product.

  • Create Group — add a new attribute group
  • Edit — open the drag-and-drop member editor
  • Save — persist membership and ordering changes
  • Reorder Groups — drag groups to change their order
  • Delete — remove a group (its attributes are not deleted)
