Wix Integration

The Wix integration connects MicroPIM to your Wix Stores site using the Wix Stores API. MicroPIM syncs products, variants, stock, pricing, collections, and images in both directions — pulling your existing catalog from Wix and pushing updates back. Wix is a hosted website builder with Wix Stores e-commerce, popular with small and mid-sized merchants who want a drag-and-drop store.

  • A Wix site with Wix Stores added and a Premium plan (the Wix Stores API requires a paid site)
  • Owner or admin access to the Wix site
  • An API key generated from the Wix API Keys Manager
  • An active MicroPIM account

Site IDThe ID of the Wix site you want to sync, from Settings → Business Info or the site dashboard URL

Before connecting MicroPIM you need to create an API key with Wix Stores permissions.

  1. Go to the Wix API Keys Manager at the account level.
  2. Click Generate API Key.
  3. Give the key a name that identifies this integration (e.g. micropim-net).
  4. Grant the permissions MicroPIM needs:
    • Wix StoresRead and Write (products, inventory, and collections)
  5. Generate the key and copy it immediately — Wix shows the key only once.

Keep the API key safe. If you lose it, revoke it in the API Keys Manager and generate a new one, then update the integration in MicroPIM.

  1. In MicroPIM, go to Integrations → Add Integration
  2. Select Wix from the platform list
  3. Paste your API Key
  4. Enter the Site ID of the Wix site you want to sync
  5. Click Test Connection to verify the credentials
  6. Click Save to create the integration

One integration = one Wix site. If you run multiple Wix sites, create one MicroPIM integration per site and assign each to a different Publishing Channel.

MicroPIM reads your existing Wix Stores catalog so it stays in sync with changes made directly in Wix.

What the pull covers:

  • Product names, descriptions, and SKUs already in Wix
  • Existing collections (used for mapping categories in MicroPIM)
  • Current prices and stock levels
  • New products added directly in Wix since the last pull

How to trigger a pull:

  • On demand — go to Integrations → Wix → Import from store and click Pull catalog
  • On a schedule — configure a pull interval under Integrations → Wix → Automation

Pulled products are matched to existing MicroPIM products by SKU. New SKUs found in Wix are imported as new products in MicroPIM.

MicroPIM sends updated product data to Wix via the Wix Stores API. This is the primary direction for keeping your store up to date after you manage products in MicroPIM.

What the push covers:

  • Product name, description, brand, and attributes
  • Variant combinations and their SKUs
  • Stock quantity per variant
  • Base price and sale price
  • Main image and gallery images
  • Collection assignments

How to trigger a push:

  • On demand — go to Integrations → Wix → Sync and click Push to store
  • On a schedule — configure under Integrations → Wix → Automation
  • Automatic — enable real-time push to send changes immediately when a product is updated in MicroPIM

Products are matched by SKU on push. If a SKU exists in Wix it is updated; if not, a new product is created.

Default mapping covers Wix Stores’ standard product fields. To map custom attributes (such as technical specifications or product tags), go to Integrations → Wix → Field Mapping.

401 Unauthorized — the API key is wrong, expired, or was revoked. Generate a new key in the Wix API Keys Manager and update the integration in MicroPIM.

403 Forbidden — the API key is missing the Wix Stores read/write permission, or the key doesn’t have access to the selected site. Revoke the key and generate a new one with the correct permissions.

404 Not Found — check that the Site ID is correct and that Wix Stores is added to that site.

Stock not updating — confirm the product exists in Wix with a matching SKU. Wix matches variants by SKU on update.

Products not creating — verify the API key has write permission for Wix Stores and that the site is on a Premium plan.

Images not appearing — images are uploaded by URL. Ensure the image URLs in MicroPIM are publicly accessible.

Rate limit / 429 errors — Wix throttles API calls. MicroPIM retries automatically with exponential backoff. Large initial syncs may take several minutes.

Can I connect multiple Wix sites? Yes — add one Wix integration per site and assign each to a different Publishing Channel.

How often does sync run? On-demand or on a schedule you configure under Automation. You can also enable real-time push for immediate sync on product save.

Does this work on a free Wix site? No. The Wix Stores API requires a Premium (paid) plan with Wix Stores added.

Can I roll back a sync? Syncs are not reversible, but every change is recorded in the Audit Log.

What happens if a product exists in Wix but not in MicroPIM? On pull, MicroPIM imports it as a new product. You can then manage it centrally in MicroPIM.
